Many of today's health problems arise from stress. Because stress upsets the delicate integral balance of all of our body's functions, regaining the balance oftentimes is most successfully treated with a holistic approach. My approach is conservative and is tailored to my client’s specific needs. I use techniques that safely and effectively reduce stress and also are widely used to help obtain relief from many specific problems including:
• Muscle Spasm
• Post injury rehabilitation
• Arthritis
• Respiratory problems
• Migraines
• Circulatory problems
• Frozen shoulder |
• Plantar fascitis
• Neuritis/neuralgia
• Tendonitis/bursitis
• Neck and shoulder tension
• Low back pain
• Running injuries
• Digestive/colon problems |
• Pseudo-sciatica (leg aches)
• Headaches
• Carpal Tunnel
• Whiplash
• Thoracic outlet
• Sinus Release |

Soft Tissue Release |
|
Originally developed for Olympic and world-class athletes, Soft Tissue Release utilizes a set of rhythmic, precise stretches with continuous changes in the plane of the stretch. A specific compression is applied along the length of the muscle with each stretch. The result: fast and permanent reorganization of scar tissue and the return of injured muscles to their proper resting length.
Recommended For: Clients like soft tissue release for a quick, occasional tune up. |

Trigger Point Therapy |
|
What is trigger point therapy?
Trigger point therapy is a form of therapy that focuses on trigger points in the body. These are not the same as the points used in acupressure, but are physical points in the body that cause pain and can be felt by touch. They are very common and are also commonly known as muscle knots.
There are two types of trigger points: active and latent. An active trigger point hurts without being touched and if it is pressed on, it will send the pain to another part of the body. Latent trigger points only hurt when they are touched and they will not send the pain elsewhere in the body.

Muscle Release |
|
What is the Muscle Release?
Muscle Release is a unique injury therapy that combines compression, extension, movement, and breath to give the therapist a tool to provide, in many cases, relief from pain in one treatment. With muscle release scar tissue is broken up, the muscle is lengthened, muscle memory is restored and relief from pain starts immediately.
There seems to be a 'mind set', a trained way of looking at any injury, that can be very self limiting. There is an attitude, when looking at some injuries, that it's just impossible. I believe, with all my heart, that the answer for millions of chronic pain sufferers, rests in the knowledgeable and capable hands of massage therapists in this country.
The Muscle Release Techniques I use are MORE THAN MASSAGE! They are the answer to get people out of pain.

Deep Tissue Massage |
|
What is a deep tissue massage?
A deep tissue massage is just what the name says - it is a massage that focuses on the deep tissue in the body. This can be tissue that is scarred or injured somehow, causing pain, or it can be used as a preventative measure. To reach the deep tissues in the body, the practitioner will use several methods, including pressure on certain points with their fingers, knuckles, or possibly massage tools. Another method that may be used during a deep tissue massage is heavy effleurage (this can be accomplished by the therapist using their body weight to apply pressure with their elbows and forearms).

Relaxation Therapy (Swedish Massage Techniques) |
|
What is Swedish massage therapy?
Swedish massage therapy is the most commonly known and used form of massage in the United States. It is considered in America to be the most classic and basic of all massage methods (in most of Europe, this type of massage is simply referred to as classic massage), and has been the basis for many other types of massage such as deep tissue massage and more. |
